Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of HomeBase, an online household management service operated by Puppy Pal's, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account, accessing, or using HomeBase, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

1. About us

HomeBase is provided by Puppy Pal's, LLC. You are entering into these Terms with Puppy Pal's, LLC. If you are using HomeBase on behalf of a business or other entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

2. The service

HomeBase helps households organize inventory, recurring chores, appliance warranties, plant care and utility usage. All features are available to every account at no cost. We may update, change, or discontinue features at any time.

We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times. You use the service at your own risk.

3. Account and eligibility

To use most features you must create an account and provide accurate, current information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must be at least 16 years old, or have parental or guardian consent to use the service, to create an account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use HomeBase to:

  • violate any applicable law or regulation, or facilitate illegal activity;
  • commit fraud, send spam, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation;
  • infringe or violate anyone else’s intellectual property or other rights;
  • interfere with the security or availability of the service, including introducing malware, probing, scanning, scraping, or attempting to circumvent access controls; or
  • harass, abuse, or harm others.

5. Intellectual property

Puppy Pal's, LLC owns all rights, title, and interest in HomeBase, including its software, design, branding, documentation, and other content we provide. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the service for your personal or internal household purposes in accordance with these Terms.

You retain ownership of the data you enter into HomeBase. You grant us a limited license to host, process, and back up that data solely to provide and improve the service.

6. No paid plans

HomeBase is provided free of charge. We do not sell subscriptions, take payments, or process any purchases inside the app. If we ever introduce paid features, we will update these Terms and ask for your agreement before charging anything.

7. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to HomeBase if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay amounts due, or if we reasonably believe there is a security, fraud, or abuse risk. We may also terminate or restrict accounts for repeated or serious policy violations. Upon termination, your right to use the service immediately ends. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.

8. Disclaimers and warranties

HomeBase is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Puppy Pal's, LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the service. Our aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months preceding the event or $100 USD. This limitation does not apply to liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where such exclusion is prohibited by law.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Puppy Pal's, LLC and its agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your content, your unlawful use of the service, or your violation of these Terms.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by posting the updated Terms and updating the “Last updated” date. Continued use of HomeBase after changes means you accept the revised Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of California, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in California.
